It’s nice to have a good wife.

I hope your vacation does not include your mother-in-law Gargoyle.

Plus I have one heck of a “Honey-do” list for you.

And then you’ll want to go to bed early to do it all over again.

I figured you would want to get an early start in cleaning out the garage.

“Wrong.”

You bet! Now on to my first nap of the day!

Look out Brutus. I smell a list of jobs coming your way.

I have found that when I Can sleep in, I rarely do.

Wake up early so you know you don’t have to go to work, then doze back off.

Any day that Brutus doesn’t have to deal with his mother-in-law and his boss, is a vacation day.

Looks like Brutus’s idea of a vacation is to have a staycation.

I think the birds thought similar this morning – dawn chorus at sunrise when sunrise is 04:50 and keeping windows closed with heat at moment wasn’t an option

Careful, but possibilities.

Yep, that’s what I would want to do. I get up at 3:30 am every day no matter what so I can get my running in before the sun comes up. Workday or weekend or vacation day – it matters not! I. HATE. SUNSCREEN. – especially while running – it mixes with sweat, burns the eyes, and wreaks all kinds of havoc….and for that matter just plain REEKS.

I like the way Gladys thinks. Very much like my own thinking!

Brutus is smiling for one of two reasons:

(1) He loves the idea of getting up this early when doesn’t have to, and is in a real “seize the day” mood.

(2) He knows that he has the choice to start his vacation by rolling over and going back to sleep.

Probably early enough in the morning to watch cartoons!
