Most definitely, a wrong way to ask for an increase in salary.Damage is done though. Smile and laugh with him and ask for a specific percentage increase based on the profits the company made during the previous year. Good Luck, you will need it……

I have a coworker that decided to quiet quit because he wasn’t getting the pay he felt he deserved. In October, we got performance reviews that are mostly based on how the store is doing and he got at least as much as he wanted. So he started actually working again. That lasted about 2 weeks before he went back to his old ways

How much does whipping boy pay? It may be more than Brutus’ current position.
