I’m still trying to figure out where they got “he discovered” anything when there were people already there. The Vikings and Orientals were in the Americas long before Columbus (but they would have to change the books).
But did he have a flag? The rules say you have to have a flag to lay claim to a “new discovery”! The Caribs didn’t have a flag, so if Columbus had a flag, the land was there for the taking.

Probably why Amerigo Vespucci got naming rights…
(Just think! We could, instead be “Vespuccians”. I wonder if the rest of the world would still hate us?)

The slight gap between the “F” and the “or” had me substituting F for the F word

There’s now proof that the Vikings and the Knight Templars were in Nova Scotia much, much earlier.

Good point. But Columbus argued against the idea of a “New World.” He was convinced he’d reached Asia.

Brilliant!

So he was actually looking for a shorter route to the playground?

It doesn’t count until he discovers it.

Little Christopher didn’t claim to find the playground. He claimed that he found a shorter route to the same playground.

The ONLY thing Christopher “Wrong way” Columbus (aka, The World’s Worst Sailor) discovered was how to get lost on the way to India! Nuff said.

As dumb as everyone thinks Chris was, he was at least smarter than most of the Europeans who thought the world was flat.
Buoy 2 months ago
Chris has spent to much time on the merry-go-round.

But the earth isn’t flat. The slide sticks up.

This is funny. I’d been questioning Columbus Day since the 3rd-4th grade.

The very reason I never celebrate “Columbus Day”.
