Once when my youngest son was small, my husband was lecturing him on something. The Boy pointed at an invisible object over my husband’s shoulder, and said, “Look. It’s Bob Vila.” Why he chose the then host of “This Old House” I’ll never know, but my husband did indeed turn, and look.
Yuck. Never liked lima beans. But, I do like Brussels sprouts; steamed until just past crunchy, with a lemon juice and butter “sauce”, roasted with olive oil and some salt, or wrapped in bacon before they’re roasted.

“The Buckets” and “Candorville” share the same punchline today. Co-incidence or extra-terrestrial influence? You decide.

I like them, but it would be cruelty to make a six year old eat them.
