    Depending on the container’s material you often simply can’t.

    If it is not glass or fireproof – but even then it often just isn’t worth it.

    Here is the helpful tip, unless the contents of a container in your fridge has been left so long that it is grown hair and is unsafe to open lest you breathe in the spores, freeze it. Once it’s frozen the contents should pop out like an ice cube easily into your organics bag or bin

    Finally got around to cleaning out our upright deep freezer. Four trash bags of way old meat and vegetables. She had even frozen cabbage heads sliced in half. Still have the bottom shelf to go……….. (´艸`*)

    I cleaned out the refrigerator one day, could have been a science experiment with all the green growing inn there.
