Given the usual harebrainness of tuckers friend this is an astonishingly clear minded and reasonable thought.

“Seems to me if you think you need freedom of speech. Your probably to opinionated to deserve it.” Just saying for the 15,000,000 AR-15 owners that don’t shoot anyone.

    According to this: https://www.statista.com/statistics/195325/murder-victims-in-the-us-by-weapon-used/

Annual homicides by rifles rates behind Blunt objects, and personal weapons (hands, fists, feet, etc.)

    Shotguns are even less.

Gun deaths of young children is MUCH less than drowning in swimming pools, bathtubs, buckets, and natural bodies of water.

Also, read this. Look at the graphs, especially the last one which takes into consideration US population growth.

    https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/2019/02/14/most-americans-incorrectly-think-gun-homicides-have-gotten-worse-not-better/

In the last paragraph: “In other words, gun homicides have dropped substantially over the past 25 years — but most Americans believe the opposite to be true.”

seems to me that if you’re dumb enough to ridicule people in your comic strips – no matter how clever you think you have done it – then you’re too crazy to have followers – true that!!!!!

I served in the Corps for 6 years. I served in Nam for 18 months and was wounded. I came home and wore my uniform to Disney Land where I was first called a baby killer. People treated me like crap for serving proudly my country. A couple of years before Trump was elected, people started saying “thank you for your service”, like all those other years of hearing b.s. meant nothing. Businesses put up a special, close to store, parking space for Purple Heart recipients. Trump got elected and the libs started their crap, slowly I began to realize that you are crazy if you don’t arm yourself. I purchased an AR-15 last week. Now, the lib crap has gotten to comics that I loved to read. It isn’t the owners of AR-15s that are crazy.

To each, his own opinion. Just don’t try to force your opinion on me. No, I do not hunt with my Armalite 15. but I enjoy going to the range. I know several people that own one or two. And never drew down on anyone. Those same people all have CHL’s and are responsible gun owners. Should we take away cars and cell phones as these cause more deaths than guns?

Well this stripped just freed up time in my morning for the rest of my life, since I won’t be wasting it reading an editorial cartoon like this.

Hey Shorr, leave your politics out or put the strip on the editorial page. Strike one!

MILLIONS of people own AR-15. So they’re all crazy? The people who have used AR-15s to defend their own lives and the lives of others (remember the church shooting where the killer was scared off by a man with an AR-15) are CRAZY?

Try this BS with the First Amendment: If you think you NEED books/religion/newspapers/etc., then you’re probably too crazy to own them.

Our rights as detailed in the Constitution are not there to list what we NEED but what we have a RIGHT to own/do WITHOUT anyone else’s — including the government’s — permission. It’s a Bill of RIGHTS, not a Bill of NEEDS.

Another cartoon like this, and I’m done with this strip. I hear enough of this crap in the news and life, in general.

Wow! Brilliant insight or biting commentary? I can’t decide.

Does Mr. Schorr (or pschearer, or fivestring65, or anybody else) understand: that a firearm that uses the force of the firing cartridge to cycle the action is over 130 years old? that most firearms were developed and used my civilians before they were (or not) adopted in some form by the armed forces? that “AR” stands for Armalite Rifle, not assault rifle? that hands and feet are used more often in murders than rifles of all types? that the Constitution is supposed to protect Rights, rather than grant them? that the original draft of the Second Amendment included “defense of self” phrasing? that the colonists just fought a war of independence with a government that attempted to disarm them? that people who live in countries that have banned or severely restricted private firearms ownership don’t tend to fair very well when the government goes tyrannical?

Oh, we little bumpkins can’t fight a major military! Tell me, how did Russia do in Afghanistan? (Hint: they got their a$$es kicked.)

I’m so tired of people with insufficient knowledge using “AR” or “AR-15” as a “boogeyman” substitute. (No one really knows what it is, but it’s scary.)

It happens that I do not own an Armalite Rifle model 15, nor any other Modern Sporting Rifle, but I have nothing against them. They are not “assault weapons,” as Leftists and uninformed people mis-characterize them.

I wish the Ammosexuals would just drop the whole “Second Amendment/Resist Tyranny/Protect My Home” schtick and just admit “I want a big-a$$ gun” That’s all it takes, man! You don’t need all the ’MURICA preamble. “The law says I can have one and I want one.” Boom. Done.
