We had two dogs, sequentially, when I was growing up and I always felt like I was being towed, for the first half of the walk. The return trip was usually a bit more relaxed.
I used to take my dog for “walks” like that, but she was half husky and would always to me. I could not keep up.
I only stopped because running on pavement made her footpads bleed. She still wouldn’t stop, even with the pain she must have been feeling. And getting her to run on the grass was impossible, because the bike wouldn’t work very well on the grass.
the guy in the neighborhood who bikes with his largish mastiff trotting behind hasn’t figured out that what was good for the dog when it was younger isn’t so much so now that it’s older and tripping as it tries to keep up…
the grandad who exercises his toy border collie the same way fortunately can’t pedal fast enough to hurt the doggie…

Just my opinion but that looks rather dangerous for the poor dog.

If the dog is heavy enough, he should run under a fence.

It always worries me when I see that, although I’ve never actually seen an accident.

This looks like a cruel punishment to the poor doggie.

I would have to stop every 5 feet for my dog to stop and sniff.
