We wanted a little privacy.
Sometimes starlings will take over these abandoned nests. Other birds just take parts of them for their own nests.
They’ve moved up in the world.
It’s a good thing that bald eagles really aren’t that bright.
Them pesky hyoomans. They never let us have any privacy.
It’s a decoy nest.
Looking out my front door I can see an eagles nest on an island across from me. The lake is still frozen so the eagles haven’t returned yet. I can see it with naked eyes, but it really does help to use binoculars.
The eagles have moved to penthouse nest.
Our eagles have hatched 2 eggs a few days ago! So much fun to check in on them via the eagle cam.
“We’re movin’ on up!”
The bald eagle subspeies here nested this past winter so their young are hatched and soon will fly!
This nest is more aerie.
