You don’t always think of a big dog as a ratter, but my 80 pound Lab/Shar-Pei mix (2001-2016) got at least one. Rat left the sewer heading for neighbor’s house, she intercepted it and “Bye-Bye rat”. Classic style, too. One quick shake of her head with the rat in her jaws was all it took. No visible wounds.
Here we have Roof Rats. A little while ago a roof rat in my yard was intercepted by my golden. Golden wanted to play, rat would have none of it. Ended up in a staring contest until I intervened.
