It was a government project where every step had to be inspected. Commercial project would take half the time because the owners want the revenue.

Due to lack of enerGIZAtion it took them so long to finish it till they all were old giz…uum..geezers during the final touches…
Not only do we not know how they moved the blocks, we don’t know how they cut the stones. Some of that work was extremely good. Also as a former project manager, whoever was the project manager on those projects was extremely good.
The labourers on the pyramid, according to archaeological digs, were treated quite well.
The kitchen specified hand carved stone counters, floors, and walls. That is what the tink tink noise is in the kitchen.
