If you cannot lie with statistics, you have no place in politics, media or religion. Stick to science, technology and engineering.

Perhaps a corollary question would be “Which is more likely to be arrested in T-rump’s America?”

I follow both UK and US politics from a distance but with equal revulsion and horror at what is being done to both countries by their elected officials.

Two once proud countries, symbolic leaders of the free-world, have been reduced to being the butt of jokes, and the laughingstock to the rest of the world, because of the idiocy, shortsightedness, venality, and hubris of their politicians and purported leaders.

It’s very sad that our once great country has come to be famous for it’s degree of unfounded hate. But there is hope; once our beloved leaders turn the reins over to Russia, everything will be alright…

Political humor always has a bite to it… but actual facts should be used. … for instance in just ONE month

To Ken Fisher (aka Reueben Bolling),

You are a witty soul, consistently bringing scrutiny to many of our political policies and societal mores. I’ve been reading you for years. It would be folly – and incredibly unrealistic – to suggest I agree with everything you write, but much more than not I agree with you. And I appreciate your point of view.

In this strip I can contest your statistics, but I don’t think that would be relevant. However, the fact that anyone – left-leaning aggrieved poor dedicated to murdering police, for example – can murder another they have decided to hate is profoundly troubling. To blame potential acts of terrorism on any, ANY, group is deeply flawed.

This notion is what this society is fighting against.

And for you to equate right-wing extremism with Trump supporters and bearers of MAGA attire is inexcusable. Stupifingly Irresponsible. I personally know Chinese, Vietnamese and Pakistanis who support Trump. The Pakistani man and his family often wear their MAGA hats and shirts in public. I tell you, the people around them have no idea how to react to them.

I feel that I should point out that I do not like Trump. I also feel it’s horrible that I feel the need to point this out, but I fear you and many of your fans will now label me. I know many, many good decent men and women who are conservative. And many who are Republican… because as you may or may not know, conservative and Republican are actually not interchangeable.

The bottom line here, Ken, is that by applying yet another target to Trump supporters’ backs, you have become the domestic terrorist. I know in these forums I am supposed to criticize ideas, not people. But surely that same standard must be applied to the artists whose work we critique.

This nation and its hatred among its citizenry for each other is a troubling. Yours, Ken, could be a voice raised against it. Raised for unity.

    Warmly,

    Mark C Still
