This is exactly what happened to Rick Scott, CEO of Columbia/Health Corporation of America, the largest for-profit healthcare company in the U.S..
As CEO, Scott oversaw the largest health care fraud in U.S. history. During the FBI raid, Scott was tragically killed by an over-jealous FBI agent.
Nah, just kidding. A few months after the raid, Scott was given a golden parachute—$9.88 million in cash and 10 million shares of stock worth more than $350 million.
In a deposition for a civil case Scott plead the Fifth 75 times. Despite all the evidence—the company had to pay a $600M fine!—the Clinton Administration chose not to prosecute Scott.
In 2019, Scott went on to become the Governor of Florida, and then Senator from Florida, a seat which he still holds.
I probably mentioned this the first time it ran, but I don’t think that anyone has proven that George Floyd passed a counterfeit twenty.
The store clerk alleged it, and then that was drowned out by Floyd’s murder. I don’t know that anyone even tested the bill. In all likelihood, it was just a racist allegation.

… meanwhile in a parallel universe.

Now this is funny. Might even be a true story since it’s as believable as any MAGAit’s conspiracy theories or propaganda lies.

$35 million won’t cover his annual private jet recertification.

Fortunately, the Supreme Court is making sure this horrible tragedy never happens by removing the EPA’s ability to go after polluters.
