Colorado and Rhode Island are so close that Wallace should be able to commute with no problem.

Timberline Resort offers a never-ending ski season. They’re the only resort in the U.S. that is open all 12 months of the year.

Think both of these ‘jobs’ will have been taken over by AI by the time Wallace is a grown up.

“wrestling bears, part time” – Reminds me of an old magazine bit by the Czech humorist Jaroslav Hašek, who wrote about a sport trainer I think, who every morning would keep fit by fighting barehanded a large Bengal tiger. He would admittedly feel “somewhat numbed” after the exercise, but he would still recommend everybody to stay in top shape by wrestling, each morning, a big Bengal tiger.

As a kid, I also loved explosions. Many kids would love to have a job that involved setting off explosives.

I’m in NH & 3 of my offspring have wound up in Colorado. This is my first comic of the day….it’s gonna be a freakin’ awesome day!

When I was Wallace’s age I wanted to be a fire truck, not a firefighter, but the actual truck … bells, sirens and hoses, et all.

Great plan. Just keep track of the explosives if Amelia is around.

There are plenty of jobs for certified/licensed explosives experts..

Seems legit.

The only drawback is, if one is doing their job right, they would hopefully not need to pull out the explosives any more than a mere couple of times throughout the whole season.

Otherwise, I could see Wallace doing such a job. Seems like the sort of job he’d enjoy doing, even without the “kids love explosions” angle.

Wallace, it’s good to have dreams but life will never be better if you leave Snug Harbor and the coast of R.I.

Definitely sounds like fun but it is a lot of work to hone those skills, especially that wrestling with bear thing……

And Sterling will be setting off explosions to cause avalanches, to make the skiing more challenging.

The bears will upset that you ‘avalanched’ them with snow last winter. All that noise and blocking the cave exit and all.

I always picture Wallace as an engineer or architect myself
