Good old SOS.
That was popular back in the day….creamed chipped beef on toast points…..
I think the youngsters will have no idea.
Never tasted it, never will, and have no regrets.
No shingles were harmed in the making of this strip.
I don’t recall ever having it. Army 1951. Well, I can’t recall what we did have now that i think about it. Sigh.
Actually I liked SOS when in the military. Maybe our cook was better. But of course not on croutons!
In Kansas City we have the premier World War I Memorial and Museum. At the snack bar (known as the “Over There Cafe”) the menu includes Trench Stew, Chipped Beef, and Army Goulash.
It’s all in the name and where you live; some call it sushi, some call it bait; some call it croutons, some call it dry burnt toast…
A staple for breakfast during my 30 years 65-95 in the USN.
That’s for sure. And nonfamily strip answer is S O S.
I love chipped beef on toast.
Chipped beef on toast is actually my favorite food!
