It really isn’t modern medicine, Wiz, it’s big pharma. The US is among only a very few countries in the world that allow direct advertising to consumers of prescription drugs. So the drug companies invent new disorders and then, by claiming that their products are the cure, persuade susceptible consumers to ‘ask your doctor.’
