As soon as a heating/cooling store opens up; sometime in the 19th or 20th century!
So, can we say that older people are vintage people?
It kind of reminds me of Frankenstein’s monster.
‘Vintage’ doesn’t neccesarily mean ‘better’. Or in this case, ‘safer’.
Old heating systems lack efficiency and that adds up to more than the cost of a new one pretty quick. Of course an old cracked or leaking heat exchanger or other part of the system is only a problem for your hiers.
The correct term is: CHEAPSKATE!
Lots of memories in this one. I remember having to shake the grate ever so often.
You would think that with his Wiz powers, that he wouldn’t have this problem; but then again, he almost took out the sun in yesterday’s strip…
What happen to Henry? Isn’t he the pet “furnace”.
Or you could get yourself a politician. I do believe that they are all full of excess hot air.
Smile, when u say thet, pard
Wiz uses that wrench to give the furnace a good “thump”, when it doesn’t work, to get it going. That’s the way “vintage” equipment works.
even his wife call him Wiz; is that his name, like dr. Strange or Dr. Cockroach?
“The correct term is vintage.” Or classic. . . Who knew that the music surrounding me in the sixties would be today’s “classics”???
or “legacy”
HVAC repairmen LOVE vintage furnaces…cha-Ching!
we replaced our 30 year old furnace with a 98% efficiency version. The heat exchangers on old furnaces eventually perforate and leak carbon monoxide.
That looks just like my furnace!
She’s prolly older than the furnace, WIZ…whaddaya think ?
I say the same thing about my many old computers, which my wife insists on calling “junk” and keeps asking when I’m going to get rid of them … LOL!
I’m not old——I’m Vintage!!!!!
I guess this means that my clothes aren’t ‘old’ – they’re ‘vintage’.
