A geek is a tech nerd.

I used to tell people I was a computer nerd but not a geek. The geeks rode bikes to work in the rain, had to be told to wear shoes in the office, and were never allowed to see customers.

Nice top-down perspective. Only skilled master cartoonists can doing this.

A geek is the guy in the circus sideshow who bites the heads off chickens. I prefer “wonk”.

The place where I retired from was always doing this sort of stuff with management. One female manager had to come onto my shop floor and say something nice about me and each of my guys. I looked at her and said, “This is killing you, isn’t it?”

I’m…one of those. And haven’t quite sussed out the definitions either.

Hairless geeks are the best kind.

Best I can claim is incipient technologist, but I do solve some of my acquaintance’s gadget problems once in a while.

I’ve always felt that a Geek is a more “extreme” Nerd… ☺

There is a company here in Huntsville Alabama (a highly technical city) called GAN which stands for Geeks and Nerds.
