It looks like Quitters Inc. is still in business. Short story by Stephen King and made into an episode on Rod Serling’s Night Shift TV show. It is one of my favorites.
See, the really important point about laser targeting is that you cannot see the dot on your own forehead. So, this is more of a way to die than to diet.
Frankly, I don’t know any way to handle this gag that makes sense. :)
