I was taught “E Pluribus Unum” referred to the Nation as a collection of States. Each state is self governed, within a federal system that unifies them. The states have defined representation within the federal system. It’s also the basis of the Electoral College.
Nice dream. Once racism, sexism, and all forms of discrimination (both overt and covert) are eliminated, the dream will come true. Until then, don’t blame groups for rallying together. “E Pluribus Unum” is a great slogan, but it’s not a cure-all.
