Zack is too young to be ā€˜outragedā€™. That would only lead to stress. With all the things that could be stressing me out at age 68, I still fall asleep almost as soon as my head hits the pillowā€¦..and sleep ā€œLike a baby!ā€.

Outrage is nothing without action. Channel that energy into activism: lobbying, voting, supporting a candidate who promises to do something, writing letters to the editor, holding marches, sit-ins, or picket linesā€¦ do SOMETHNING. Sitting around feeling outraged changes nothing but your blood pressure.

Trumpā€™s attempt to improve perceptions of his response by depicting the pandemic as a shock to everyone is just one of numerous ways he has dishonestly described the crisis.Trump claimed Saturday that the situation has been ā€œurgent for meā€ from the very beginning, citing his late-January decision to restrict travel from China.

But Trump downplayed the severity of the issues facing the US long after that ā€” even as experts were issuing the warnings Trump is now saying did not happen.Almost two months ago, experts were saying that the new virus in Wuhan was potentially a global threat.. One month ago, experts were saying that it was likely to be pandemic, and the White Houseā€™s response was that this was under control, despite the fact that the USā€™s lack of testing was demonstrably giving a false picture of the extent of infection. After all, you can have a confirmed case without a test, which requires a test that isnā€™t available.

Jeremy Konyndyk, who served under former President Barack Obama as director of the US Agency for International Developmentā€™s Office of US Foreign Disaster Assistance, wrote during the first two months of Trumpā€™s presidency in 2017 about what he argued was Trumpā€™s unpreparedness for the pandemic he warned could be coming. ā€œA major new global health crisis is a question of when, not if,ā€ he wrote in Politico.John Bolton, then Trumpā€™s national security adviser, disbanded the team during a reorganization of the NSC. Bolton tweeted Saturday that itā€™s ā€œfalseā€ that his ā€œstreamliningā€ hurt the countryā€™s ā€œbio defense.ā€ Trump disavowed responsibility on Friday, March 13th for the NSC changes, saying, ā€œI didnā€™t do itā€ and ā€œI donā€™t know anything about itā€ ā€” though he conceded that ā€œthe administrationā€ did. Trump is either responsible or irresponsible. This is his fault. The Trump Plague is his.

He should be outraged at all the debt that is being put on his tab by the government.

Whatā€™s the point of stressing over things you have no control over.
