Given that “history” is written by the winners, there are alternative versions from the surviving losers.

Harry Turtledove writes “alternative history” fiction. One of these is “Guns of the South”, where the confederacy wins the civil war. Not recommended.

True, there are no Alternative endings to history ……….. “BUT” …… now-a-days there sure are some that are trying to change history …….. !
