Yeah.

All that research and technology, and the best the meteorologist can say is 60% chance of rain.

The forecast today is overcast with snow flurries with a high of freezing. I think the pollen count and UV index are both listed at zero.

And it’s the only channel that doesn’t need a number.

We watch weather: Whether dry hair, whether wet hair – Whether we here, whether we there, We hear weather – whether we want it – whether we don’t.

You ever notice how the weather people make it sound as bad as possible?

The trouble of course is that the weather channels are now competing for better Nielsen Ratings, so we are now getting more drama than weather.

Alright, I’ll do it : chili today, hot tomale.

Or say breezy instead of windy.

We have friends in North Carolina. A few years ago they were under a hurricane warning. They did not realize how bad it was going to be until Jim Cantore came into town. They have since moved to Hawai’i. Fewer hurricanes.

Bad weather always looks worse through a window, until you actually go out into it.

What, no climate change reports?

The Weather Channel is my favorite channel.
