“Grounded for eternity”… I wish I had thought to use that one a few times. It’s not very realistic, but might convey how serious I was to the offending child. Sadly, grandkids and greatgrandkids don’t really count but I can now let their parents take care of things.
An “On-Air Personality” thought it would be funny to superglue all of the engineering department’s handsets down on their phone cradles. Five phones ended up having to be replaced, and he owed the company more than $2500. He quit instead of paying, and ultimately had to move out of the market, since nobody else would hire him.
Had office pranksters that were addicted to the stuff. Pencil/pen glued to drawer, phone hand set glued to the base, lunch box glued to fridge shelf, coffee mug glued to table, toilet seat and lid glued together, etc….
One night in college I was sitting around the common room in the dorm when a friend of mine handed me a note. “Do you have any aftershave?” I said I didn’t. He handed me another note that said “I tried to open a bottle of Crazy Glue with my teeth and it squirted.” I turned around and he motioned, and I could not stop laughing. He had literally glued his mouth shut. We found something to dissolve the glue, but not before I had a LOT of fun at his expense!
Based on the problems people have had – maybe before husband uses superglue again I should buy nail polish remover. Since I stopped biting my nails (had to as teeth left me and could not bite them with the replacements) we no longer have nail polish remover in the house.

Every time I try using that stuff, I end up gluing my fingers together. Then in a panic, I rush to the nail polish remover. Marvelous Invention !

You messed with the man’s coffee, never mess with the coffee.

I’m impressed that they got the nearly-impossible timing down to do that (i.e., getting the glue to stay wet and then dry at that precise moment).

Are they “grounded” in their parents’ bedroom? Or do they sleep together in one bed?

So not hilarious.

As was once said on “Happy Days,” it’ll probably blow over by the time he’s thirty.

It’s all fun and games until you wake up one morning with your hand glued to your dinky!

You have ask yourself, would you think it is hilarious if it happened to you?

I spent most of my childhood grounded. And all of my adult life, until 2009 being told, “You’re no child of mine!” by dear old dad.

He could have a permanently disfigured lip. Glue jokes are NOT funny and can get you charged with assault.

That third panel though. Sprayed my morning tea all over the keyboard.
