Krampus wasn’t responsible for coal delivery. His job was to carry off bad children and beat them with a willow switch. Originally, when the stories of Santa still just shamanic legends, the evil entity now called Krampus, was a demon who accompanied Santa on his rounds, and could be appeased by an “offering” from the children. This became the tradition of leaving milk and cookies out for Santa.
Now is the time to invest in future good behavior with your kids. Asuming you have told them about Krampus, on the 24th after they are asleep sneak in and stuff them in a burlap sack. Pull them out oif bed and let them hit the floor. Drag them down stairs if you have them. Growl and clank chains. Kick em. Drag them outside and then, in a disguised voice, say you are going off to get more naughty kids. Tie the top of the sack with a loose granny knot. Then hot foot it inside and get in bed and act like you are asleep. The kids will come bursting in shouting about having almost been taken by Krampus. Reassure them and say that they must not have been bad enough to take to his cave immediately. Et Voila, years of well behaved kids!

Santa is sure to appreciate those cookies—that is, if Adam doesn’t get to them first.

They’ll just give you awful stomach cramps, hence the name.

Hershey Kisses cookies? Not in my house. I use that recipe, but substitute miniature peanut butter cups for the kisses.

Coal cookies would be fun. Dipped in dark chocolate with black sugar sprinkles over the top could work.

Krampus cookies, I suppose that those were the ones that Katie burned. Coal indeed.
Cactus-Pete about 8 hours ago
Krampus has nothing to do with coal, it’s Santa who uses that.
