Oh, too late, Andy, as the barkeeper just served his tenth patron. Better pulverize the fellow ere he takes a sip.

@Number Three Today’s strip is slightly funny and a repeat , the vicar knows that our HERO Mr Andrew Capp would not go in such a rush to a library to read but to get a free beer:o) my avatar is a spoof about a doctor giving his diagnosis that you can’t fix stupid ,which brings in mind of the crowds gathering to celebrate the last football league championship in Malta with no face masks or social distancing putting themselves and us at risk :o{, the police have arrested the organizer , how was your day in partial freedom ? our day should be busy but calm I hope and both Connie and me are in a good mood , stay safe pal and thanks for caring

All too common – libraries and other local services being closed and sold due to Tory government cuts, and they end up as more clubs and bars, which we really don’t need.

There used to be a student watering hole near Notre Dame in South Bend named “The Library”. I don’t know it it’s still in business. The standing joke, of course, was that Notre Dame students would speak of “goin’ to the library…” — meaning instead, “Library”.

Andy must live in a college town – a lot of them have a “Library Bar.” Then when a parent asks “Where were you last night?” the student can reply with 100% honesty “At the Library.”

Knowing Andy the ending panel is pretty much given from the first panel.

2 Strips ago, I made this exact comment “That reminds me of a bar in North Jersey called “The Library”" They used beer mugs as bookends on the sign.

Outside of Edwards AFB there used to be (still is?) a bar called “The Office” so you could call your wife a report you were still at the Office.

If the line outside is already gone, he’s too late.

There was a drinking establishment near my college called The Library. They gave out wooden nickels…worth a bag of popcorn.

I’ll be glad when the libraries reopen. Stupid coronavirus! It’s completely destroyed the whole year! The sooner 2020 ends and 2021 begins, the better!

Andy and I had some beers in that pub once. I could write a book about it.

Don’t apologize, Nigel started it by making a small-minded and ignorant dig at a political party that he dislikes.

“Oh, sorry, sir. You’re the 11th customer.” (Cue the crying)
