I haven’t read a full book on one of those….I will if I have to, but I love real books….I’m all behind audio books…Makes long drives bearable…..

It is time for separate bedrooms.

I have read on a Kindle, but still prefer the tactile pleasures of real paper.

It’s pretty difficult to read theoretical physics books on a screen.

But I don’t suppose that’s what she was reading.

I read electronic books only on vacation for weight and size restrictions, but I can’t flip back and forth to recall something specific.

Happy to hear others prefer paper pages in real books. Sure you get the same words, but one can’t pause to check out the cover again, read about the author on the back cover and look at his picture. A Kindle is over a hundred dollars. Think of how many books that would buy from the used bookstore. Great fun looking for an older book and finding it on a shelf in the Goodwill or in a list on the Abe Books website.

My Nook can browse the web. I’ll have to remember this for the next time I want to bookmark a web page.

It took me a second to realize that was a “bookmark”….

Alas, none of us are reading this on real paper.

A friend gave me an e-reader about four years ago. I tried, valiantly, to plow through one book, but no-go. I turned it over to Hubby and he loves it.

This got a real laugh-out-loud out of me.

I think Arlo must have put the bookmark in her tablet. Last panel shows Janis in the morning (wearing robe) and wondering about the bookmark!

She puts a Paper Bookmark in her E-Reader?

I went E-Reader a couple years ago.I chose one with a Hardback sized page because I was purchasing mostly hardbacks..It’s paid for itself several times over since then because the E-Book version is Less Expensive than the Hardback. .Only fair since, once they’ve recovered the Editing cost, every E-book copy is as close to Zero Cost to the publisher as you can get..I just hope they are passing at least Some of that extra profit on to the Authors.. The comments about not being able to flip back and forth puzzle me since most E-Readers have a “Bookmarks” feature as well as a “Search” feature.Oh, and a built in dictionary, too, in case the author uses an obscure word that needs to be looked up..

I used a Nook for a year of so.ASUS lately.Hundreds of books bought and read.Thousands more are available for free.I can make the test large enough to be easy to read.I can read Arlo and Janis.I can go to Google world and play.

Awww; that’s beautiful. I want that.

In her last years my wife read almost constantly from a kindle. She wouldn’t have been able to handle a paperback. toward the last she was using larger text since she couldn’t wear glasses while using a CPAP machine. She almost wore out the page turn button as there are over 150 books on the kindle.

My granddaughter asked me what books I had on my phone when I was a kid.
