They just act like they don’t care when you get home, but check the furniture!

This is the purr-fect time to bring Robin back into the picture. I’m sure that she knows how to take care of a kitty.

No concept of time? Then why do my dogs all know the morning treat is at 10:30 and the evening treat 7:30 pm? TO THE MINUTE!

Who are “they”? I keep hearing all over the place that “they” said this and that “they” said that. Who are these mysterious people? Are the same people whom others cite, saying “According to studies….”? Are “they” behind all of those anonymous studies that are supposed to guide our lives and national policy?

I used to have guinea pegs that told time by the sound of the Guiding Light theme music. They knew my then-husband would be home then, and they’d get their daily lettuce treat from him. Weird thing? They’d start whistling at the same time on weekends!

Doesn’t matter. Cats will think you’ve abandoned them, no matter what you do. Then they’ll shun you when you get back.

Animals are far more perceptive, within their means, than most humans. Their “clocks” are the sun, moon, and seasons. Also, cats are very conservative when it comes to their environment. When you go away, it disturbs the wa of their house.

I left my cat alone for a few days once. Upon returning; went to sleep but just as I woke up and opened my eyes my cat was sitting above my head on my pillow. He reached out with his paw and gave my a hard swipe to my face and promptly jumped off the bed and went on his way. He’d never done that before or since then. Guess he told me what for!

It’s meant in a larger sense, as in Ludwig won’t know if A & J will be away for two days or five.

My cats know exactly when it’s 7:00am and time for me to feed them – that’s when they start scratching at my bedroom door. The weird thing is that they seem to adjust for daylight saving time, which makes no sense. The only thing I can think of is that they must be noticing when the HVAC cycles on (the automatic thermostat changes settings at 7:00am)
