OH, to be in England…..

Let’s see. They’re 6 hours ahead of me, so that means he wants to go to bed at 4, 5, or 6 pm? Seems kind of early even for Arlo.

Use bright lights, they must use it at the poles for 6 months of darkness each year.

That’s good enough for me. I consider it a successful night when I wake up early enough to go to bed.P.S. Nice drool Arlo.

And gentlemen in England now a-bedShall think themselves accursed they were not here.

Maybe I should set my clocks to GMT. Then it’ll look like I’m going to bed at a normal time.

I have family in Germany. As someone who normally goes to bed in the US at 8 and gets up between 4-5am, it’s REALLY easy to acclimate for Europe when we go.

I’ll never forget my first trip to England. Between 4 pm sunset, jet lag and the copious amounts of ale pushed at me by my inlaws I didn’t make it to the 10 o’clock hour until the second week. I was very much like drooling Arlo in the first panel.

Since it’s dark 5pm I am ready for bed at 9…and nothing to watch on T.V.

Relax with music and books! Blow up the TV, as the song says!

Can’t stay awake at 2 pm, can’t sleep at 2 am. Any day ending in “y”.

OTOH, it’s never a bad time … >:-)

This looks like my wife and me every evening at 7pm since we set our clocks back for DST! ;o[

Sometimes if I’m really tired, I’ll go to bed around 9pm – and my wife gives me a hard time about it. What’s the big deal what time I go to bed?? Meantime, she’ll turn on the idiot box and quickly fall asleep on the couch, then crawl to bed around 3am.

Effin time change.

It used to be the case that I could go all day and all night – some days are still the case, but others – woof! I run out of gas and could just call it a day whatever time it is.

So this is it I guess. Old people comics. No stories. Nothing really happening. Disappointing. This strip used to offer so much more.

I have family from England who now live here, and, every so often, they return home to see their siblings, etc.

My ancestors came from England, and I have always wanted to go there. My English family members tell me that I had better go fairly soon. The other Eden is changing rapidly and, according to them, will soon be unrecognizable.

Boy is this one ever ‘us’!
