@syzygy47- I most definitely feel you. Besides, I found that just knowing only a few words in other languages is a good way to flirt with women of other nationalities! ;)
A bit of fantasy role playing? My wife and I decided that if we had the chance at an amorous encounter with one person, it wouldn’t be considered cheating. She chose Julio Iglesias. I chose the lady next door.
I speak American. English can sometimes mess me up. I also used to be fluent in Spanish but have lost most of it over time. Sadly, I had a neighbor from South America and a doctor who claims to be Puerto Rican, although I suspect he has always lived in the US. I would have enjoyed honing my Spanish with them. My dr once greeted me in Spanish, and I answered him in Spanish, and it’s hard to say which of us was more surprised!
I always though Italian was a beautiful and romantic language that rolls off your tongue. When I was a young buck and lived in Europe for a year I picked up some Italian phrases. The loveliest to me with its rhythm was dov’e il gabinetto? Never was a good pickup line since it just meant where is the bathroom. Still it is a beautiful sounding phrase. Have a bottle of Italian wine and practice saying it. Ha

Does anyone recall a time that Janis was the one initiating the hug? It seems that it’s always Arlo.

We go with Mel Brooks’ “firm embrace” when we put out our arms for a hug.
