So, is this the moment that Arlo & Janis strip has jumped the shark?

The baby is the parents issue. Grandparents obligations come in later, when the kid is old enough to be spoiled.

Smart of Gene to get self-employing babysitters right next to them.

Don’t do it guys – let them take care of the kid. Buy the yacht and learn to sail instead.

This is beginning to sound like my wife and me when we discussed moving to Arkansas to help with my Grandson. Things like property taxes, affordable house, losing state income tax exemption on our pensions, higher costs of living, etc.

Is Janis amused by Arlo’s “Hat hair”? Is that the joke part today?

This reminded me of my youth, I always noticed when the hero, or heroine, appeared with perfect hair after, or during, some action that SHOULD leave their hair a mess, like a battle royal, or or epic struggle, especially involving dirt and mud.

The house is here and now, the baby is yet to come. So focusing on the house makes more sense to me.

I think they will be moving to be closer to the grandbaby!

I see Arlo is working the Anglerfish hairstyle… Certainly seemed to tickle Janis’ funny bone.

In Panel 3, that’s not a cow-lick, it’s a cow-crick… ☺

Let’s see how many days in a row Janis will mention a word with the letters A. B, and Y in it. I’m thinking like that one word has hijacked her mind and now has become the absolute priority in her life and nothing else matters.

Hmm, going by past A&J comics, Arlo would be about my age…however, I have a LOT more grey hair. I can relate with the hat hair though.

Differences in priorities. My wife would be all focused on the baby and none of the realities that this creates. Don’t get me wrong, the babys cool but it’s going to be years before I can take him fishing or to the ball game. And in between theres a flood of dirty diapers.
