They took his wallet and now poor Ben is strapped for cash which puts him in a bind.

When trying to reach him by phone, the receptionist says Ben is a little tied up right now.

Even worse, he’s now got an itch.

I remember when our manager retired. There was a big celebration at a restaurant. He wasn’t invited. Sort of cruel. He wasn’t all bad, just strict.

The least they could have done is put one of the party hats on him.

Had Ben remained neutral ….he would not have been tied to the chair….

Ben’s own fault, he was invited but we know Ben’s type, work before pleasure. And sometimes.. being the boss puts him at odds with the group.

I don’t blame him, but he was the one who had to be tied down when he finally went berserk after hearing the 4,000th “Ben Dover” joke…

First it was Employee of the Month, then Casual Fridays, which led to First Wednesday Celebrations for Birthdays of the Month.

And yet, Ben and his brother continue to labor under the delusion that customers require a certain modicum of decorum at Untley’s Funeral Planning.

He’s Ben had.

I’m an old timer at my job; many of my coworkers weren’t even born when I started.“We used to have standards around here…” I often mutter, just loudly enough for them to hear.
