Those who know Lowell question which one is the loon.

/// In his motorboat, Lowell moved toward

where the loon mates, a fact he ignored.

Most disturbing of all,

Lowell mimicked its call.

By his line he was pulled overboard.

There was a young fellow from Troon,

Who got into a fight with a Loon.

As it pecked at his throat,

He fell out of his boat,

But survived cos he’s in a cartoon.

It seems Lowell is being attacked

What did he do to such mayhem attract?

The aroused Loon might be perturbed

That its peaceful life has been disturbed

And at last its mentality has cracked

.

This has happened to waterbirds in the past

Most renowned is the duck who was last

To go stark raving mad on the lake

And a long cartoon career did he make

In Loony Tunes as Daffy Duck was he cast

The loon seems to have fouled his line.

Rule 1: Don’t shout ‘Squirrel’ to a dog you have on a leash.

Rule 2: Don’t shout ‘Fish’ to a loon you have on a leash.

Hardly surprising knowing Lowell.

Oh, and that ‘The Loon’ was ‘The Labrador Retriever’ in a previous life.

I think the loon is winning the battle.

Economists learn all too soon,

The avian Lowell has caught/

(Which he probably shouldn’t have ought)/

Is more fearsome than him/

One hopes Lowell can swim/

For his voyage is coming to naught.

(He’s wondering “What hath God wrought ?”)

That’s what you get for all that “invade Canada” talk. Wait till the beavers mobilise!

I wish the “beavers” in THIS country had mobilized. But sadly, they split.

The loon has chosen him as his nemesis.

there was a young angler from ballard

who for the purpose of rhyme was named stallard

egrets, he’s seen a few

and loony loons, too

but what worries him most is the mallard
