Bread = Slang word used in the 60s? for cash or money. Was bread actually used or traded as money in olden times?

Last I checked, the print used in U.S. money has animal-based inks. And credit cards are plastic, which come from dinosaurs. So.. how do vegans pay for anything?

Silly me, and here I was just thinking the strip was referring to how expensive it was to buy a diet full of organic, vegan options for those who do not raise their own vegetables!

With squid ink? Then we’ll call that denomination “a Squid.”

Organic is not necessarily plant stuff. Bacon is organic.

That could be the ink when they come out with the new $10 with a female in a few years.

Okay, it’s just a comic and I’m being picky, but vegan and organic are unrelated concepts.

Don’t forget sauce, salsa, sausage, salad, and salami.

@emptc12.“As I’m sure you know, petroleum is not necessarily formed from organics that were once alive. The surface of Saturn’s moon Titan is drenched in hydrocarbons considered at this time to be formed solely by chemical processes.”.And the reference includes:“At a balmy minus 179 degrees Celsius (minus 290 degrees Fahrenheit), Titan is a far cry from Earth. Instead of water, liquid hydrocarbons in the form of methane and ethane are present on the moon’s surface, and tholins probably make up its dunes. The term "tholins"was coined by Carl Sagan in 1979 to describe the complex organic molecules at the heart of prebiotic chemistry. ".Hydrocarbons, yes.Petroleum, no..Petroleum on earth is found above organic source rock and below impermeable cap rock.Always.The number of carbon atoms in the hydrocarbon chains goes far above just 1 and 2 as in methane and ethane (7 heptane, 8 octane, parafins, asphalts)
