Be careful buying a cave there. You might end up with a tree for a front door. As Nabuquduriuzhur said we get some strong winds here in the Great Pacific Northwest (me in Washington) in the late fall and winter. The trees on the coast do indeed show the wind effect.
As the twig is bent, so grows the tree. The trees on the North Carolina Beaches also show the direction of the prevailing winds. Except in hurricanes (North Carolina is a hurricane magnet), the winds are usually not strong, but they are constant.
In Geraldton Western Australia its so windy the trees really do grow sideways. Here is a link.https://www.tripadvisor.com.au/Attraction_Review-g488345-d9802080-Reviews-The_Leaning_Trees-Greenough_Western_Australia.html

You get plenty of exercise just trying to walk out the front door.

They said Paradise Valley, MT got breezy . 70 – 80 mph winds is a hurricane in Florida!

Coastal trees in Florida are like that. On the few coastlines haven’t been bulldozed.

Most roadside trees in Oklahoma are like that. Plus quite a few phone poles.
