Maybe he’s an optimist. Since B.C. had dinosaurs living with him this past summer, this could be the start of the ice age! So, B.C. worst case scenario, 30,000 years till spring!
I know how he feels. I’ve run out of room to put the snow I shovel off my driveway. Piles along the edges are two-three feet high on one side, three-four on the other.
Actually… 1) it’s Spring already on the trad. calendar and 2) Spring isn’t going to guarantee no snow… some of the worst snowstorms happen in late March/Early April in the Midwest.
We’re under our twelvth snow this season in northeast Tennessee. More than three feet, two to five inches at a time. And more predicted at the end of the week.
Actually, spring is in 22 days. From https://www.accuweather.com/en/weather-news/whats-the-difference-between-meteorological-and-astronomical-spring/335725 : “The spring season associated with the vernal equinox, called astronomical spring, happens on or around March 20 in the Northern Hemisphere, but meteorologists recognize March 1 as the first day of meteorological spring, which is based on annual temperature cycles and the Gregorian calendar.” Unless, of course, you believe astronomers have a better handle on what constitutes spring than meteorologists.
30" of snow earlier in the week, more falling right now. Jaws-Of-Death and his brother are loving it. Retirement has another advantage, don’t have to worry about getting to work tomorrow….
6" so far this morning in SE PA…good thing I don’t need to go anywhere this week; I didn’t even bother cleaning off the car after the 10" we got last weekend!

It appears that that break in the blizzard was only a thirty second time out. He should have at least waited until half-time.

Back in the late 1970s a blizzard leaving 30+"/75+cm of snow fell one year in early May in New Jersey (and elsewhere).

Nobody has mentioned the Keweenaw Snow Thermometer, and the record high 390.4 inches that fell in the winter of 1978-79.
