Speaking from experience, you really need to lick or otherwise dampen the suction cup for it to work, and it won’t work on anything that isn’t smooth such as fur.
It took me until I was an adult to realize why my dad was so quick to buy boys toys for me, a girl, such as electric trains. He grew up during the Great Depression when money was short – oldest of 3 boys. He was glad I think when I wanted “boys toys” as he got to play with things he did not have as a child.
My husband had never met a girl who had electric trains and when we bought a house, my trains came to live with us. Unfortunately they do not get along with his trains as mine are HO and his are O – but it is my trains (with additions we bought) which is set up in our basement.

We were taught, early on, to never point a weapon of any kind at a human or an animal.

My sister is/was a total jerk. I gave her precocious son a set of drums for Christmas. She has not spoken to me since. Works for me.

Saw yesterday in a store I was in a crossbow pistol that shoots suction cup darts. What could possibly go wrong?

I was never that good a shot with a bow, so I made sling shots. My Dad would take them away from me, so I’d make another.

His arrows stick to fur?

He should have an area outside to use that thing. Definitely not something to play with in the house.
