No wonder he seems unhappy.

First of all, seems like Mr. Rosa would be the only teacher Nate would want to sign his yearbook.

Secondly, for those who do not know jimmies are what we Northerners call sprinkles.

I knew a teacher who had to work at a convenience store as her second job.

But wouldn’t Nate go to Mr. Rosa’s room first?

There is no way to be “done” with a teaching job as is normal with most jobs. You do whatever you are going to do that day, lock up and forget it until the next day. A teacher can not be finished with the job until every student has understood everything that they need to know. That involves waking up in the middle of the night because you have realized what will get the concept though to Jimmy. Any time or energy spent on other work is robbing the kids of the teacher’s attention, and giving them an education inferior to what they could have had if the teacher could afford to give it to them.

In Junior High, I had a female teacher who was a truck driver before she went into teaching. That always impressed the heck out of me…

Huh, I just emailed my Spanish teacher, and I mentioned that I forgot to get my yearbook signed by her just before reading this strip.
My previous comment was deleted since I pressed backspace, and it took me back a page before I could post it. Why does this happen, and does it happen to you?

What are jimmies? Are they a type of sprinkles, because I’ve never heard of jimmies.
