3 Palooka asks Bozo if he can use the phone. Bozo complies, but it looks like palooka got cut off.

1. “Safe and sound”, it’s just like that

Once you hear the sound the safe makes you flat

Behind the hedge, he is on chase

Comes Bozo our hero with his cane

Keeps it whirling ’cause he can

And knocks baddie out in funny ways

It always such a Splendid Saturday with these fabulous fun funnies called BOZO!

Lotsa cartoonists is paying tribute to Snoopy creator today, which they should too, but after that, friends, do take some time to look at some lesser known cartoonists who weren’t any less talented than any well known cartoonists of last century.

For example, our lesser known but tremendously talented FoXo Reardon who never needed words to tell his funny tales and did it all through his awesome artwork alone. A pure pantomime, and epitome of picture speaking thousand words, is BOZO, where the characters, their expressions, body languages, and the splendid scene setups was all that conveyed the subject matter without no character ever saying a word.

Also, FoXo Reardon was a not only a master storyteller through artwork alone, he was also a master of perspective artwork. Every panel of BOZO makes you feel as if you’re seeing photographs of a three dimensional cartoon world of realistic-looking depths and details. In almost all of his strips you can feel the three dimensional depth in every scene. FoXo was a rare combination of great talents in both humourous wit and artistic abilities.

So it no wonder that despite so many decades and era later BOZO still comes like a fresh fragrant breeze and still brings great joy and sheer cheer to many even today.

But despite being a great classic of great creative calibre, neither BOZO nor FoXo are much known or remembered these days.

Spread the word, friends, so that BOZO can spread more joy and cheer to many more!

And yes of course another big thumbs up, big applause, and three cheers once again for the marvellous master cartoonist FoXo’s magnificent masterpiece, the most pleasant picturesque pantomime, the ever entertaining ever energetic ever enjoyable ever excellent evergreen entertainer BOZO!

1) I was wondering why Bozo didn’t lift the manhole cover to get out, but when you’re Bozo’s size, I guess the sewer grate works just as well.

3) Sure, you can use my phone, just keep the conversation short, Bozo’s got another big day ahead!

1. The cop is going to arrest Bozo for damaging the safe with his hard head.

1) BASEMENT BARGAIN: A safe falls on Bozo, he is fine just that he is now underground!

2) KNOCK ON WOOD: A night stroll and Bozo sees a uniformed crook hiding. Not wanting to be a sap he raps the rapscallion on the noggin!

3) USE MY PHONE: Big fella wants to make a phone call. Bozo hands him the phone as the man stands outside!

2. Bozo puts a different spin on it to the chagrin of the crook. :)
