What, is she having a third kid? I mean I know this is a rerun from when she had her second kid, but I’m wondering if this is here for a reason or if it’s just a rerun with no reason behind it.
I’ve got one of those. Wherever I am, she must be. In the last few years she’s realized that if I leave the television on and/or laptop open when I leave the room, I’m probably coming back. And in the meantime, I’ve left a nice, warm seat that clearly needs to be guarded from theft.
My third trimester was a constant struggle between needing to get off the couch to eat or pee, and desperately wanting to never stand up again. I feel you, Woman. (And Elvis, my Panda cat raises a paw in solidarity. Thank you for putting up with us.)
A dedicated Siamese Guardcat’s duties are never done. Danger lurks constantly and its person must be protected from anything at anytime. Never mind that said person won’t. stay.put thus making the Guardcat’s job even more difficult. No, that’s alright. The selfless Guardcat will continue to be alert at all times even when his eyes are closed as in panel nine.
My dog does the same thing. I’ll leave my room – say, to go to the bathroom – and my dog will instantly wake up. I’ll sternly tell him to wait in my room, and he will. However, when I come out of the bathroom five minutes later, my dog is always lying outside the door, waiting for me.
As I type it out, I realize how truly sweet it is!
Pucky has been cuteness & sensitivity overload this week and now we get to see his little white tuft! It’s just too much, I can’t take anymore, I give!!
When I get up from bed, night or day, Sky will always follow, and he does get irritated if I “forget the spoon” and get up again. The cynic in me also points out that while up, I frequently visit the kitchen, and there will be an opportunity for Sky to mention food.
Good morning and happy Bunday, orbsters and orbabies! Yum Yum is also overprotective and needs to accompany us to the kitchen to ensure that her treats are still there for it.
‘Morning, BCN Orb! Happy Bunday! Hope good things happen in everybody’s world and that those who are struggling are heading for brighter days. ((((Mega Orb))))
My cats past and present have all done this. Once years ago my husband realised his cat had followed me to the bathroom. I had shut the door leaving the cat in the hall. The cat sat down and waited for me to emerge. When hubby questioned this, my answer was the cat loves me.
The next morning same scenario as usual. When I opened the door there was my husband sitting on the floor of the hallway waiting for me. He said “I love you too!” A sweet and oddly romantic gesture that two decades later still makes me smile!
My house tiger Finnegan (in my avatar) cannot let me go to the bathroom alone. No matter what time of day, he will come in and roll around on the floor and demand tummy rubs. (After making sure the bathroom is safe, of course.)
My dog is my sidekick. Where ever I go he goes. Meav one of my girl cats, I used to call her my shadow. She would follow me around the house, help me eat my food, even help in the bathroom (thanks for nothing). Then the other day I realized it was so much more than that what she was doing. Now her new nickname is “Stalker”. Let me tell you it fits her. I can’t turn around without her face being in inch from mine it’s a little disconcerting. So now I have a new Stalker.
I have four Pomeranians. This just made realize I have not gone to the restroom or anywhere in the house without a set of eyes on me in fifteen years. Two of my babies are rescue and especially vigilant. My eldest sleeps on my desk on his own dog bed. The best love in the world.
Just wanted to give a quick update on Dee. He has had a major growth spurt, now that he has finally decided to start eating. McDuff adores the baby & is trying to teach him to be a big cat. The others tolerate the baby – until he touches monkey, Goldie-fish, or the coveted condor – then all bets are off!We know he has some trouble seeing, and we believe he is at least mostly deaf. Nothing seems to slow him down, though. He’s mean as a little rattlesnake. (Said with love, of course.)

Uh-oh! She’s getting restless, and that baby bump looks as if it’s about ready to burst. It’s a good thing Elvis is on the job!

Panel 8: “O.K. It’s safe.” Is that Elvis’s modest, “Just doing my job, ma’am,” face?

I adore this one. Classic over-protective Elvis. It’s one of the things I love the most about him.

There’s an assumption by some that the Woman has ice cream. The click! in Panel 8 makes me think it’s more likely reheated mashed potatoes.
