Even the Cat of Adventure is losing his sangfroid.

Something tells me Elvis is going to get up close and personal with the CAMERA. ;-)

Well, WE know why the People are gone (and sources say it’s a good thing). But how will our stalwart crew cope? Do they know where the kibble is? Is there an acceptable alternate litter source? And where’s Pucky? For Cat’s sake, where’s Puck?? Stay tuned for further developments as they happen…

Does the test pattern screen mean this is in the wee hours of the morning?

Well, a cat’s got to keep track of the days somehow, right?! I mean, calendar, couch, that’s close enough, they both start with C after all, so it works for Elvis, and that’s good enough for me! and just a reminder to use spoiler alert if you can’t keep what’s coming to yourself. This is such a special arc, lets let it unfold for the newbies as it did for us. But thank goodness we didn’t have to wait 2 months again!!!!!!

I thought it was rather rude of the man to lie to the boys and say they’d be right back. I always tell my guys where I’m going and when I’ll be back. They even get warning notices before vet visits.

I have a cat who actually did this. He’s very emotional and I made the mistake of taking his best cat friend and a female kitten he had been caring for in to the vet at the same time. We were gone all day, since I left them while I was working. When I got home that evening with the cat and kitten I discovered Remy had been so overwrought he had slashed the back of the sofa seat – one claw, one long, straight slash right through the upholstery. He had that same look on his face that Elvis has in the last panel, too.

Cats measure time in naps, I believe, so 2 days in cat time is about 12 hours in human time.

Good morning and happy Monday/Funday, orbsters and orbabies. We have the day off today, no treatments or appointments scheduled.

Lupin, Cat of Adventure, is on the story and will leave no stone un-turned to solve this Mystery. Elvis will be social commentary, reporting on food shortages and lack of head scritches. And Pucky will the calming presence at the News desk.

The BNC team will not rest until the humans are found.

Elvis should console himself playing with all the Toddler toys and yesterday’s thought that he no longer has to deal with a Baby….

Once I had to go away on business for a “three-day trip” that took a month. My cats got fed but that’s a long time. When I returned, Kirby leaped out to see me and meowed for a solid ten minutes telling about what had been going on. Johnny Depp waited an hour to appear and acknowledge I had returned. His attitude was “Oh, it’s you. If it’s really you, you would know where the cat food is.” It took a full day before he would “buddy up” to me again.

I still love Elvis.

It’s been a long time… My youngest has bought Marc’s house and we have been moving stuff out as fast as we can though it’s not fast enough for her. She’s anxious to get moved in. Still, we have moved out so many things that there isn’t enough left for an estate sale. I’m just going to donate or toss the rest of it. In the meantime, some days are ok, some are terrible, and the nights are the worst. Lack of sleep is catching up with me. At least I have a vacation to look forward to. One whole week with friends who care about me is going to do a world of good.

Ok, end of pity party.
