Not likely going to be hired as a chef or server at L.A.‘s or San Francisco’s “The Stinking Rose” restaurant. Everything from the appetizers to the dessert (including the ice cream) is made with garlic. See also “Gilroy Garlic Festival”.

Shouldn’t that read, “Buffet: The Vampire Slayer”?

He looks rather cross……I hope it doesn’t drive him batty! But could he wolf it down, or not? My memory of vampires is rather misty and foggy!

What’s wrong with garlic? Maybe not on fruit, ice cream or cake, but it works great on a wide range of other foods……. Case by case basis….

Somehow when I was located in the hospital our Radiology department never got around to doing anything with roast turkey, which vies with popcorn and garlic as my most desire-inspiring scents. 364 days a year (365 in leap years) they’d make popcorn behind a locked door just off the main hallway. The 365th/366th they have their annual lunch, catered by Bisetti’s Italian Restaurant, just around the corner from my library.

I love lots of garlic (even take Kaolic, even though I have some raw almost every day). I’ve heard that it is healthiest to have raw that is sliced and left at room temperature for 10 min or so – I still use some TVP sausage topped with fresh slices under my whole wheat pasta, than top it with sliced bits of fresh tomato AND my homemade tomato-broccoli sauce. YUMMY!
