At a college dormitory cafeteria, I once had a deformed plate with a bulge in the middle, so you could actually spin it on the table. Handy if you’re in a hurry.
Reminds me of Charlie Chaplin in the movie “Modern Times.” It is the scene where the boss gets a demo of the feeding machine, with the little tramp as the factory worker.
