mine is the early warning system…the deer herd wandering through the back yard, he lets us know, heavy delivery truck coming up the drive, ditto…once the warning is issued ,however, he looks at me with the ‘okay, mr. biped with opposing thumbs grab the Savage-Stevens 320 and protect the house.’ look in his eyes.

Today, October 22 is National Make a Dog’s Day. When I told this to my friend, who has a Sheltie, he said that everyday was make a dog’s day as far as he was concerned.

Another HOA rule here – no Trick or Treating. People aren’t even supposed to decorate, but that rule has been violated so badly I think they gave up. I haven’t seen kids out in 17 years unless I go to someone else’s home.

The question is: Are they ready for me?!

Buckles can still “BARK” from behind the couch …….. and that’s ……….. as good as it gets ….. :)

Buckles, what happened to your ferocious bark and deminer? Did you get scared from your own growl?
