I remember getting a kid too wound up to sleep once. Did it on purpose, too, having put up with the little “angel” for a week. Thought I’d let mummy deal with her darling and see how much fun it was.

Never . . . NEVER . . . try to outlast a 6 year old kid that eats Sugar Bombs.

There is NO defence against mum tickles, she knows all the spots. :D

This is certainly a wonderful Calvin and Hobbes strip. It’s very good to see Mom and Calvin having fun together although it does backfire on Mom as she puts herself to sleep rather than Calvin.

Loads of quality time with the kid has taken its toll on mom. Dad did miss the bus, I guess.

Get him a hamster wheel – a BIG hamster wheel fitted with a generator.

It’s the first time we’ve actually seen one of Calvin‘s parents positively engage with him. They only have themselves to blame for his behavior which is obviously to get their attention

We rarely get to see Calvin and his mom playing together, so this was nice.

Either way, she got a break out of it.

Thinking that mom needed to be put to bed was dad’s mistake that resulted in Calvin.

To GoComics, don’t forget that there’s still a sabbatical Sunday strip you missed one week, before the “new” comics are supposed to resume at the end of this month. It’s so nice to see this side of Calvin’s mom instead of always in a reactionary one.

Do people not get it? It may seem like a wholesome moment with Calvin and his mom, but the last panel proves it was all a ploy to tire Calvin out to get him to go to bed.

Anyone notice the “ack” in the first panel? Could Bill the Cat be lurking nearby?

My mother would colour with us, but that’s the only memory I have of “Playing” with her.
