I was on a long flight to eastern Europe, leaving at 9:30 p.m. I figured they would not serve dinner, so I ate at the airport. The airline fed us for two hours, course after course after course, finishing way after midnight. They just kept coming by with more and more food, and I had to try everything.
I had a very long layover before my next six-hour flight on the same airline. I didn’t eat at the airport because I was expecting something similar. They gave me a cheese sandwich.
We always check the flight info to see if a meal will be available – we fly economy most of the time so don’t get “free” meals on most flights. If the flight is going to be over a normal mealtime for us we may pre-purchase a meal voucher as it does save a little as opposed to paying the normal onboard prices – which are, of course, way higher than restaurant prices.
We really enjoyed the meal, included in the ticket price, on the Atlantic Airways flight from Copenhagen to the Faroe Islands (to install our software at a client’s site). All seats were first class and the meal was served on real plates with real cutlery – and it was delicious. Best airline meal I have ever had – including first class meals on other airlines.
Wow, I am late tonight so hope that everyone is having a good night (and had a good day).

I don’t really go on vacation. Gives me a whole lot of money to spend on food-related splurges. :)

And thus starts the “entitlement” phase.

Wow, that’s a lot of food! But I guess “we felt entitled” says it all (◔_◔)
I certainly wouldn’t eat all that low-quality junk before going on a vacation. I’d want to eat the specialties of where I was traveling to.
Hello Cathy friends! Happy Tuesday! Have a great day, all!

If traveling overseas, we try to go Air France because they actually have some pretty good meals.

Hope those were all free samples, because otherwise, they would’ve paid an am and a leg—and maybe an AACK.
HI, MOM. Hello, Clan.
