Forever, my mother wanted a leather couch. She finally got one and hated it. Not comfortable at all. So it went into an anteroom and replaced with a good comfy cloth one. The leather one was for show only.
This would work better with vinyl bench seats in cars and trucks in Florida. If you have never experienced that, it’s something to add to your list of things to be thankful for. If you have, you can be thankful that they are pretty much a thing of the past.
And now they have to go sit in their cars with searingly hot vinyl seats. I always look for light colored leather seats. Failing that, light colored seat covers. I lived in South Carolina for too many years to not learn that lesson.
