Transcript:
Knute: "My dad taught me that a man should open doors and pull out chairs and stuff"
Crystal: "Really"
Knute: "Anyway, sometimes the old habit pops up... Here ya go"
Knute: "Oh. Um..sorry"
Crystal: "This feels so weird... yet so right..."
Next thing you know, Chrystal will be wearing a typical teen outfit and Knute will be cutting and styling his hair and they will be steadily dating. Lol A guy who treats a girl like a lady usually wins her heart.
Iâm a woman, and I once held open a store-door for a man who had his hands full holding his baby. He smiled and said thanks. I told him chivalry wasnât dead, it just changes hands now and then.
my dear friend Caitlin hates it when I do that stuff for her â she always says, âi can open the door myself. Youâre not my boyfriend or husbandâ â itâs just being polite. And it doesnât need to stop for women, but donât think Iâd pull out a chair for a guy though â lol
It cuts both ways. A woman who treats a man with courtesy and respect is also going to improve both their lives. For that matter, that goes for anybody who does that for anybody.
Holding a door or a chair for a woman no more implies she cannot do the same for herself than buying her a gift implies she canât be a breadwinner and buy it herself. It is a show of respect for and interest in someone, nothing more or less. But in that spirit, I expect Crystal to hold a door for Knute by the end of this arc (and I donât think Knuteâs masculinity will be hurt by accepting).
i must be missing something obvious: Why is Knute apologizing? For looking down at her bottom? Thatâs what Iâd have done, but I wouldnât have apologized. In high school, though, I might have blushed.
No longer is KnuteâŠjust a dopeâŠnow heâs become Sir Knute the chivalrous! Meanwhile, Crystal looks so shocked her ânice guyâ is actuallyâŠeeegads! Gadzooks!âŠactually NICE!
..men open doors for other men, too.First man to the door open just long enough for the second man to grab it(it is an art form),then usually the second man then holds open the second doorâŠ.itâs a time saver..but itâs done all the time.âThanks-yep/No problemâ is usually the social exchange
âwow evans sure down with teens todayâ-Poor little troll doesnât understand that just because some act one way, doesnât mean all have to act that way.

Thatâs so sweet. Iâm all for being a modern and independent woman, but even I like a polite gentleman whoâd do this
