He’s lost after falling asleep in the previous strip and is having hallucinations, I think, don’t know what the little green storm cloud is, though.

If the green cloud is the ghost of doofuses future, then that mean Scotty will die on that island, and not a moment too soon.

I see it as a ghost, but also a disturbingly appetizing rack roast of skeleton a la Todd.

Weird, just plain weird.

I think its supposed to be a preminition of him growing old and dying alone on the island. I think the ghost is him old, Because it looks like him in his underpants.

Perhaps he’s going to haunt himself. Make a change from haunting Tom.

What the hell? I am completely lost now.

At first I thought it was Scotty’s dad.

I’d be a little worried if I ALWAYS understood the mind of Beutel, James…

Perhaps this is a take on the old Christmas Carol wherein the old grump is visited by three ghosts. Maybe Beutel, James is in a holiday mood Banana Triangle style.

Is he having hallucinations? I don’t get it. and what is the green think in panel 4? Is it the guy’s soul leaving the bones?

Those berries don’t just make you vomit.

Yeah, a little lost here too. Though in the last panel, the “ghost” is smiling, so maybe it is a premonition (or ghost of Scotty to be) who realizes he’s finally free – after he dies of starvation….
