So, now, do Nancy and Frank burst right in like old-fashioned parents (in my day, kids didn’t close the door), or do they knock and give Luann time to close her laptop, or do they just slink off and pretend nothing happened?
Why does it look like Brad kissing Nancy in the first panel. Oedipus?^^Well, basically, Brad got his looks from Frank….except he got his Mother’s nose (Mercifully)
From a parent’s perspective, a “virtual” boyfriend on the other side of the world is far better than a local punk sneaking into the virgin daughter’s bedroom.
“…better than a local punk sneaking into the virgin daughter’s bedroom”.But that only happens once.-Assuming devirginizing occurs any time a punk enter’s a virgin’s lair.
The cigarette is an old cartoon convention that implies they just “did it.”. I had the brownies in the 70s too. Fun thing to do once – if you don’t have to drive that day.
LOL, personally, to me, that would finally complete the story of Brad growing up…. Besides, it would give Greg a chance to show Shannon going through what Luann did, in the early days ;) , not to mention showing how being in a stable home would slowly bring Shannon back from “The land of unloved children”
@ Donny Wallace : Reading some of your posts makes me glad that I’m an atheist :P (Went to Catholic Elem school, got out of the church as soon as I turned 18)
I believe in God. I do not believe in religion. There is a difference.^^I don’t believe in either, but, it’s all good as long as you don’t show up at my door with the Watchtower under your arm! ;)
We don’t know for certain that Shannon is unloved. My thought is that she is a spoiled little brat. She has been with Toni more than her uncaring father, and Toni has shown her love. Now she also has Brad who cares for her, and Luann, who she sees as a big sister.^^Her being a brat is a direct result of the fact that her family situation is unstable; how could a child feel loved if she was being constantly foisted on her relatives, like a magazine, being passed from person to person? If she was feeling happy and secure, you’d see her smile now and then; what she needs is a stable family life, and being Tony’s frequent house guest isn’t the same as feeling “wanted”. I really think it would make a good long term sidestory to watch her grow up as Brad and Toni’s adopted daughter…of course, I’ve always been somewhat of a hopeless romantic.
Toni play’s him alng like a fool, always holding out hope, but never going thru.^^Hey Lev, found this parody online, figured you’d get a kick out of it:

I bet Quill is kissing her and it’s reverberating across the room…it would be better if Luann would be just typing instead of keeping the mic on
