Wow! I just realized…my first # 1! I know this is not gonna happen, but I like the idea of Belle, Broadway, Cinnamon, and Pirahna all meeting up, Belle and Knight eyeing each other…..and then suddenly knowingly, sharing the same thought. Then Belle turns and shoots Broadway, hands the gun to Cinnamon who does the same to Pirahna, and the new twosome then go off to rob a jewelry store or bank together, lol.

To whom could Sam be referring? If it is indeed Cinnamon Knight, then there just might be some hope for Black Piranha. And, yes, VistaBill, I agree: that is a spectacular kitchen the Tracy’s have!

Love seeing Tracy making a big old pot of chili. Shows he’s human. Looks like it’s going to have to wait, though. And yeah, I wish I had a kitchen like that. He and Tess must be makin’ the big bucks.

As a detective, shouldn’t Sam be in an unmarked? Detectives usually get inexpensive “people hauler” sedans, rather than police package cars, as they don’t really need the burliness of the patrol force vehicles.

Chumbawamba’s newer stuff is better, but I can see how Dick “I’ve survived more murder attempts than you’ve had hot breakfasts” Tracy would identify with that chorus.

Brad and Lisa look good, Mikey. I agree with the others on you following your talent. I am glad you got back in it. You make Comments all the more fun. I am originally from the buffalo area and remember trips over the river before all the barbed wire intrigue they have now. Haven’t been to Canada since 2000. Wont be getting a passport just to go to Canada. ^^We can all thank GW Bush, for THAT one… and I agree, paying over $100 for a passport, just to go to the USA is not within my means

Just paste it in your typing box, and when you submit, you’ll have a pic inserted

@Gweedo Murray Just making law after law doesn’t work if they are not enforced and people just get endless probations. Jail should be hard for repeat customers. “When guns are outlawed, only outlaws will have guns”

^^And yet, the countries with the strictest gun control laws (Canada, Japan & Britain), have the lowest murder rates, per capita, in the so-called civilised World (Another reason I love being a Canadian)

I sure hope Sam’s talking about a call from Cinnamon Knight – maybe he and BP will survive the “robbery.”(And David goes on to the police academy, and they become two of those endless background characters who reappear – like Frizzletop and her husband did.)

Once the Cinnamon Knight, Piranha, Belle, Broadway, Dick and Sam all show up, they will be confronted by . . . The Cumin Conqueror, and the art and plotline will become even spicier.

I posted a pic of Piggy Butcher the other day and didn’t realize there were so many Piggy fans (four people emailed me about it). Here’s another pic of Piggy, this time cavorting with Mrs. Chin Chillar. I picked this one because Mrs. CC (aka Notta Fallar) is supposed to make a reappearance this spring.

I love today’s strip! Hope they get it posted here soon. First, it’s good to see Honeymoon again, something I did not expect. (Is she the “friend” who called Dick yesterday??) Second, Belle is looking very fine today! And third, it seems we’re set up for a brief detour from the Black Piranha story (like Belle says, till after Christmas). Plus, judging from the moon in the first panel and Junior’s reactions in the last two, I have a feeling it has something to do with a certain curvaceous cutie we all know and love, aka the Alien Hottie!!!

I’m surprised by the abrupt change of story. It’s as if this strip (and the focus on Moon Maid) were inserted into the sequence. No complaint about today’s strip, though.Great character development all around.Spectacular art as always – especially Shane’s colors in that last panel.

Belle looks kind of drunk today… and she’s actually showing some compassion for her victims here, what next, Broadway becomes a Bhuddist and gives up his life of crime? lolOne has to wonder why she’s with that guy to begin with, Father complex, I suppose. It looks as if Honeymoon will finally meet this imposter Mother of hers; or will she turn out to be the real thing? (Inquiring minds want to know)

Father complex aside, the original Belle looked to be somewhere between 30 & 40, closer in age to Broadway, but, not as easy on the eyes! lol

By interspersing one story with another, they can stretch out the supspense while still keeping to the letter of the rule about time.

Intro (skip if you’ve already read any of the previous intros):

Hello, greetings, casual readers of past Tracy stories. I’m here because I’m on 2 missions. The first is something I’ve never done before, read each Tracy story by Mike Curtis (or his occasional guest writer) in one sitting each. I feel his stories are worth it. IMHO, Curtis is by far the best post-Gould writer this strip has ever had, and we’re all lucky to have him.

My second mission is to provide an immediately useful Featured Comment whenever needed. My 3 friends below will reply to me. You can read their replies if you like, but their only real purpose is to bump up this comment to the Featured Comment.

There are 2 basic types of immediately useful Featured Comments: the first type is to provide you with a Mumblespeak translator when needed. The other type (this type) is anytime that day’s strip quotes a real song. I will provide an html to a recording to that song so you’ll know the tune even if you’ve never heard it before.

    End Intro

So it appears Blackjack is rubbing off of Dick Tracy. The tune he’s singing can be found here:
